On Sunday 23rd April, Millie Cottrell was crowned Ladies Champion of the JCB Tour Championships winning on the last hole against England U18 Golfer Lulu Leetham.
Millie shot impressive round 2 and 3 scores of 2 over and 1 over to clinch the title. 3 consecutive birdies on holes eight, nine and ten changed the tournament leaderboard in the final round and Millie managed to hold on through the final eight holes to keep at bay her fellow international junior golfers. This was an epic 18 hole battle on the final day with all three girls in contention to take the title.
Millie recorded an unprecedented third win in a row in the National HMC having recorded individual wins at The Berkshire, Hollinwell and JCB, resulting in her being crowned overall champion of the Order of merit for the 2022/2023 season.
Sophie Mardani and Charlotte Jean finished in 12th and 13th places in an impressive girls field of top golfers in the UK.
In the boys competition Joshua Gates finished 22nd, Joseph Gould 35th, Harry James 50th, Dylan Mumford 54th and Barnaby Gough 62nd. An impressive effort from the boys with three of the boys in the U15 team.
Gordon’s A team finished 10th in the team event and the B team 16th.
